Juniper is two things at once: the incense burned at monasteries before dawn, and the soul of a good gin and tonic on a warm afternoon.
We named our company after it because that is the kind of travel we wanted to offer.
No summits. No suffering. Just Nepal, well hosted, at the pace it was meant to be seen.
chapter two · the itinerary
Ten days through the other Nepal.
People, Culture, Spirituality, Nature, Food, and Great Company.
What makes a Juniper Routes journey.
i..
Small groups, by design.
Most journeys host between two and eight guests. We do not run buses, and we do not industrialise hospitality.
ii..
No trekking, only depth.
We chose Nepal beyond its mountains on purpose. The country has more to offer than altitude.
iii..
Hosted by a Nepali native.
This is not a tour built in a London office and outsourced. The person who designs your journey is from here.
iv..
A conversation, not a checkout.
Every journey begins with us speaking. We shape your trip around you, together.
I started The Juniper Routes because I kept meeting travelers who came to Nepal expecting only Everest, and left wishing they had seen the rest.
The country I grew up in is bigger than its mountains.
If that is the Nepal you came looking for, I would love to host you.
